Thanks for the feedback and site-testing! I appreciate all of your help, and am glad to know that all seems to be working. (I’ll look into that search thing, liz.)

JM—I sent my editor a note saying that recent studies have shown that the presence of a book’s text available for free online generally increases rather than decreases sales of the print version, and that while I didn’t want to put the whole thing online (yet*), I did want to put substantive chunks up, and would the press have any problem with that? She checked into it, and said there would be no problem, provided I included appropriate copyright info and links to the press’s website. Vandy has been really good about things like this…

(*I will likely put the rest of the text online at some point, once it appears that the print sales—whatever print sales there will be—have slowed.)

The website looks great - did your publisher approve putting so much text online? Seems like great PR more than violating rights to publish, but publishers rarely take that perspective…

Didn’t have time to read much, but I clicked around a bit on IE for Windows (I know, I know...) and it looks great. The only thing I had trouble with was the search function ("error establishing a database connection"). Congrats on a great website and what I’m sure will be a successful book release!
