Studio 60

Thanks to Liz and Lori, I spent a chunk of last night watching a little, tiny version of the pilot episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

It was worth all the squinting.  Oh, the joys of once again watching Aaron Sorkin and Tommy Schlamme in their element:  backstage, rapid-fire, filled with enough submerged detail that it’s always worth watching again.  I’m really hoping that the series holds up well beyond the pilot, because it’s like the glory days of SportsNight, with a higher budget and a full hour to stretch out in…

Thanks for the tip.  I’m genuinely excited about this show.  It looks great so far.

Glad you liked it!  I’m definitely pretty excited to see where they go with it, and if Aaron Sorkin can keep it up (he says he has 5 scripts ready to go, so hopefully he’ll be able to stay on top of the schedule).

And I know this isn’t very helpful now, but for your other readers, there’s a button on the aol.com controller to make the show full-screen.  And I can assure you that it looks just as good big as it does small–what a great set!

Ack!  I looked and looked for a full-screen button.  Probably a Windows-based conspiracy, is all I’ve got to say.

I didn’t watch Studio 60, but I can’t resist putting in a major kudo for Sports Night. For those who haven’t seen it—it is well worth watching a few episodes.
