One could interpret your post as suggesting your own troubles somehow are equivalent to those of the job candidates, for which you might be struck down at any moment, I feel compelled to warn you.

Oh, Chun, you know perfectly well I intended no such thing. What all of the variables in the problem represent are not “troubles” but quantities of time. And there’s only so bloody much.
