Working on my teaching pages while the game’s on. What I know about football would not fill the thimble of a small-fingered seamstress, but L is a fan, and just moments ago said, “I bet KF is watching this game.”

This may be my new favorite phrase: “would not fill the thimble of a small-fingered seamstress.”
It’s right up there with “colder than a Yukon well-digger’s ass.” Something about the fineness of the detail.

Thanks. I made that one up (son of a quilter that I am). Did not impress a poet friend of mine, though, who thought that thimbles all came in the same size.
