God, I just heard through the grapevine what must be the Unmentionable Source of Stress (USoS) that you alluded to in a previous entry. Now I understand why the colorful blocks have proliferated on your calendar.

For what it’s worth, it seems to me that USoS has fallen into capable, sensible (if fatigued) hands.

Hi, Liz! I’m a HUGE zinc proselytite, so I should have done this first thing this morning. In fact, I have Zicam in the house, so I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to me to use it. I’m going to go do that right now. Thanks for the reminder!

Get Zicam. Now. Really. Go to the store, right now, and get it. (Or Cold-Eze, if you prefer lozenges to nasal gel. But I think Zicam’s slightly more effective.)

It will, in fact, either prevent or greatly reduce the severity of the cold. Trust me on this.

But it only works if you start it fairly soon after the earliest symptoms.

(After my 10yo got the cold from hell last week, my 12yo and I woke up a few days later with the same sore throat his started with. I took Zicam, he used the ColdEze, and neither of us ended up with more than mild discomfort.)

Ooh, that would be awesome. I’ll start by working on the red. Red is meetings, so if I can schedule one for 4 pm on Thursday, all my 4 pms should suddenly clear!

If video games have taught me correctly, you should be able to make blocks of the same color magically disappear if you stack enough of them together.
