A Query
Did either Mike or Matt Taibbi just do something nefarious or something? Because in the last, say, four hours, I’ve had what can only be called a bajillion hits off various searches for some combination of the father/son team. Seriously: of my last 100 hits, 54 have come from such searches. And they’re almost all from different IP addresses, and different locations. What gives?

Matt Taibbi was on the Daily Show last night, and came off as a bit of a chump, to my mind, but I don’t know if that counts as nefarious.

Aside from the above, the ‘Nick Denton Media Empire’ (ie gawker + related blogs) have been firing off either one of their names every day for the past week or so.
My guess is that Google probably just picked up your recent postings on him and compiled them into their db, and then the fun begins.

Actually, I’ve been getting googlings off my lone Matt/Mike Taibbi entry for months now, so that the search engines have found it is no surprise. The surprise is in the sudden explosion in the volume of such searches. I’ll post something about what I mean shortly.
